Indications：

Apalutamide is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with:

Metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC)
Non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC) at high risk of developing metastases

Dosage and Administration：

The recommended dose is 240 mg (four 60 mg tablets) taken orally once daily. Apalutamide may be taken with or without food.Patients should also receive androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), either with a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analogue or after bilateral orchiectomy.Adverse ReactionsCommon adverse reactions include:

Rash
Fatigue
Hypertension
Arthralgia (joint pain)
Decreased appetite
Peripheral edema
Falls
Fractures
Weight decreased
Hot flush
Diarrhea
Vomiting

Laboratory abnormalities may include anemia, leukopenia, lymphopenia, hypercholesterolemia, hyperglycemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and hyperkalemia.

Warnings and Precautions

Blood pressure, lipid levels, and blood glucose should be monitored regularly during treatment.
Patients should use caution when driving or operating machinery due to the risk of seizures.
Apalutamide may interact with other medications. Consult a doctor before use.

Use in Specific Populations

Pediatric patients: Safety and efficacy have not been established. Not recommended for use in children and adolescents.
Elderly patients: No dose adjustment is required.
Renal or hepatic impairment: No dose adjustment is needed for mild to moderate impairment. Use with caution in patients with severe impairment.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in pregnant women and women who may become pregnant.
Contraindicated in breastfeeding women.
